Boys With Girlfriends

Soooooo my weekend was pretty entertaining. Friday I went to bed early, well in college terms I went to bed before midnight. The next day Briye and I decided to go to the wonderful place named Spring City for this artist studio tour that they host every year. I mean we didn't have tickets to the BYU vs. Wyoming game (which we shut out) and we didn't have any other more appealing ideas to spend our Saturday. So off we went to the wonderful city, which I would consider pretty close to Ephraim, and Briye would call it Nephi just because thats the exit you take off I-15. Anyways, we got there, bought our tickets, and scrambled all over town in order to see as much art as we could fit in before 4pm.

I just want to say how surprised I was at the amount of talent that little town has. Briye especially took a liking to Kathleen Peterson's work, and not to mention she was a way nice lady to talk to. This town also seems to be incredibily freindly. I mean I'm not gonna lie....I judged the town as a little hick place that really has nothing going for it. This place is ten times cooler than I thought it was. And who knew that many artists lived there? Another thing-I mean I get it, I'm a history nerd okay. The town is known for all its historic buildings and I couldn't help but admire the beautiful architecture of each house. I actually went as far as taking pictures of different things I liked....even though I know I am not building a house or buying one anytime soon. One house seriously looked like an Italian estate! (I want it) Another house really made me want to break out in some line dancing or whatever people do at barn yard parties....you can tell I have no clue what I'm talking about.

But anyways....long story short. We are getting old. Haha seriously. I'm in love with that little town and its so not like me. I mean this is coming from the girl who considers San Francisco to be her favorite place.

Thanks Jamie for inviting us to come to Spring City for the day!

Paper Planes

Okay, Okay! It has been far too long since I have posted on my blog and I'm tired of being such a plain jane blogger! (and Briye peer pressured me, and dang is she good at that)

I literally had the time of my life this summer, sorry it was not very well documented.... The truth is I have been in such a slacker mode that I haven't applied myself to anything but traveling.

One of the better highlights of summer has to be when I visited my favorite city, yes yes I talk about it all the time to my friends....San Francisco!

Things I learned during
the trip:
Self Portraits while you are walking can so
metimes turn out decent

Cheesecake Factory has the worst service EVER. and the cheesecake doesn't make up for it
(ya that is my sister Erika holding one of the straws they put in our hot chocolate drinks....which melted into these contorted shapes)
but that was not the reason they sucked so bad

I am also horrible at optical illusions
(i'm trying to kiss his cheek. I guess.)

Erika is actually pretty good at Ipod ads

Fiats are the most adorable vehicle and I want one as soon as possible

I will miss my family like crazy while I am gone at school : (

Miss you Air Bear and Papa Bear!

P.S. I promise to write way more on this blogular. I mean it.Stay tuned for mas.

"Do You Have a First Aid Kit Handy?"

First of all I would like to bring up one point. I could never ever be a truck driver or a driver of long distances....By that I mean I have taken several long drives these last few months and I have seriously wanted to kill myself. Okay maybe thats a little dramatic but I mean seriously......the only reason I get by is because I have a well equipped ipod with several playlists to keep me awake. But what makes a really good roadtrip playlist? Does it all need to be upbeat cuz personally I found myself listening to a lot of Guster and hip hop songs. I think that will be the next list I work on......top 50 best songs to listen to on the road. I have included a picture of my favorite female singer at the moment. Guuesss who?

"Whatever Gets You Through the Day"

A lot has happened since my last post. That's almost an understatement I think: My mom passed away, Bri and Adam got married, I've been redecorating the living room, and I started talking to some friends that I had written off for awhile. I've been doing okay, I mean I have my moments but I know that my mom wouldn't want me to be brought down by her death so I have been trying my hardest to not think of her in that way, and instead I just remember all the memories I have with her and how I hope that I can measure up to be at least a fraction of how awesome she was. I was in Barnes and Noble today with one of my friends, Heidi, looking through the new Postsecret book: A Lifetime of Secrets (go to the postsecret website for more info) and I completely felt like I related to one of the secrets. I remember the wording vaguely so don't quote me on it...but it talked about how someone did not really think of someone who had passed away as dead, but that they wanted to believe that the person was on a vacation somewhere having the time of their life. I had just thought about this exact thing earlier this morning. I just thought that it really hasn't hit me yet and really I just feel like she is on a vacay somewhere, perhaps Hawaii just living it up...she loved going to Hawaii : ) I think I want to go there for Christmas now, just to spend some quality time with the fam bam and live it up like I know she would be.

50 Reasons Why Morgan & Xtina Didn’t Go On Any Dates This Semester:

I believe the title says enough, we have managed to compile a list of 50 reasons why no guys asked us out -or even wanted to ask us out this semester, I'm sure we could have made this list even longer

50. When a boy asks us what our plans are, we say that we are "obviously hanging out with each other."
49. Have photo shoots on a weekly basis—most of the time. Being models is such a busy life...
48. Get all of the latest model poses—which we implement in our weekly photo shoots—by watching America's Next Top Model marathons on VH1
47. Share an addiction for What Not to Wear, even though we never got to watch one together this semester
46. As a tradition, we binge on Churros (at least three) everytime we are at Disneyland, even when we are not with eachother
45. Have matching MacBooks
44. "Pimped out" our rides, aka MacBooks, using the exact same method, just different foiling colors (Kristina has green and Morgan has red)
43. Wear way too much cheetah and or/leopard print
42. Half the time, our hanging out is spent studying in the library together
41. The most common text message we send each other is, "Where are you?"
40. We talk to each other on our computers via google chat even though we're in the same room.
39. Watched all of Grey's Anatomy—4 seasons worth—in our apartment within two months.
38. Love to fill up people's cameras with pictures of the two of us (usually taken in a "MySpace fashion" from a high angle)
37. Make friends with random people on campus: Spanish-speaking missionaries, Multimedia Lab Assistants, etc.
36. Invite those friends over for game nights (excluding the missionaries) and then use them to get us Oregon Trail for our computers.
35. Whenever we go to a concert, we somehow manage to get in the VIP area where we then proceed to steal energy drinks by shoving them into our giant handbags.
34. Carry around handbags filled with stolen energy drinks.
33. We're beautiful, ambitious, and are pursuing careers as high powered doctors: traits that, when combined, are lethal and imtimidating to other men. Specifically—all of BYU men.
32. Judge people by their ability to put makeup on—basically how much black eyeliner they apply.
31. MAC Cosmetics addicts
30. Know all the MAC eyeshadow colors by heart. So instead of saying, "Oh your makeup looks good today," we say, "Oh I really like Amber Lights on your lid. And is that a hint of Honey Lust I see on your lid?"
29. We relate to over 50% of the things on the list of "Stuff White People Like"
28. Criticize the blonde, white waitresses at sushi restaurants. Blonde/white= not legit.
27. It has been said that we even talk in the same manner/way.
26. When people ask us about doing things separately we reply,"Whatever, we do what we want!"
25. After we saw a Gay couple at Disneyland, we choose to hold hands as well.
24. Whenever there is a Cheesecake Factory in the area near us, we proceed to go and enjoy a tasty slice of key-lime cheesecake—even if we are full.
23. Refer to each other by somewhat offensive terms such as hoe, skank, and slut.
22. Sometimes refer to each other by our Grey's Anatomy Aliases—Dr. Torres and Dr. Addison Forbes Montgomery-Shepherd
21. In discussing our lives, we also burst into random rap or hip-hop songs, i.e. "I-N-D-E-P-E-N-D-E-N-T do you know what that means?"
20. Call people Cholos (mostly Xtina). Example: "What do you think you are looking at, Cholo?"
19. Relate our lives to surgeries and relationships within the Grey's Anatomy universe.
18. Make our own Spring Break vacation...at DISNEYLAND.
17. Make fun of the lame Jack Sparrow impersonator at Disneyland.
16. Facebook stalk people (mostly Morgan).
15. Try to order Asparagus on our pizza (actually, that was just Morgan again).
14. Cruise the streets of Provo in a flashy red Mustang
13. Dance ridiculously while driving in the flashy red Mustang
12. Compiled a complete playlist of all 326 songs played on Grey's Anatomy
11. Enjoy Sub-Zero fixes weekly
10. We Cackle, as opposed to flirtatiously giggling when speaking to boys/men
9. Listen to Britney Spears, daily
8. Listen to Miley Cyrus, daily—and are proud of it. Once we heard it play on the mainstream radio, we labeled it "legit" to listen to.
7. Randomly pass the thizz at people mid conversation (mostly Stina)
6. Flash Peace signs—Japanese style. Example: our picture with Mulan at Disneyland.
5. We go to dances as a couple, doubling with Bri and Adam of course.
4. When we think no one is in the room, Morgan seductively/creepily says, "We are finally alone" only to have someone else walk in the room at that exact moment. Talk about awkward!
3. Have expensive Sushi fixes—weekly
2. Worship Dr. Pepper like Hindu's worship Vishnu.
1. People think we’re lesbians.

Delaying Homework

So tonight I am trying my best to ignore this Spanish test and also this religion paper I need to write. I can't help it okay....I am inherently not capable of focusing on one thing for that long. and speaking of focusing on things, finals are in about two weeks. Disgusting.
I want to know why every party in Provo has to get shut down, I mean seriously come on?! Last year nothing I went to got shot down and most of the parties were decent so I mean what is up with the Po-po's in this area? They are seriously a bunch of dukes. I'm actually excited to be able to go to Bombay's when I get home, well....at least on Tuesdays I will be able to. I actually can't wait to be home period. Not because of problems or issues going on here, I just really miss home right now. My mom hasn't been doing very well and I can't wait till I can just hang out with her and not have to deal with a J.O.B. or school. That is my incentive I have decided. I will survive finals. And speaking of this coming month.....Grey's Anatomy will be on again! Only my roommates know how obsessed I have become over this show, but really I can't help it I'm so addicted now. and after re-watching all previous seasons and the few from the current fourth season....I can't wait any longer! Oooh and this is me typing a reminder to myself to include some pictures from Saturday's festival of colors. It was bomb. At least until I got colored corn starch in my teeth and kept having to spit out the various colors that I continued to take in. Maybe I will add those pics next time. But until then I have included a picture of us girls getting ready to go out, hyphy style : )
