Sprawl II

My sister is in town! It has been so fun having her visit me in Provo again and see all my good friends.

And speaking of Provo awesomeness...........some beautiful places are photographed in a Fall sweater feature on Urban Outfitters. Its fun recognizing the different places that are in the feature, including my friends bedroom.

Take a gander.

Photographed by Natalie Neal and modeled by Rachel Stallings

Thanks to Kaneischa for showing me this!

To Build a Home

It might seem like image overload lately but I couldn't help but share this awesome project that my friend Tommy Corey put together. Titled "The Self-Worth Project" he was inspired to create awareness and unity amongst people with self doubt as a result of the recent suicides of young gay men.
"The Self-Worth project is an ongoing photo documentation of people embracing their deepest and most vulnerable insecurities. It is NOT meant to be political, religious or related to any race or orientation. It is a positive outlet for EVERYONE, because everyone should be included in sharing how they feel. Unity is power, and through that power, we can change lives. When all else has failed, choose love. It will pull you through."

This project is so inspiring. A lot of people I know are involved and I learn something new about them every time I see their insecurity written on them in these images. I can't wait to eventually participate and hope others will want to join in the effort and help spread the word about this amazing project. Here are some images that I have been touched by.

Walk in the Park

Today was a lonely day. I got a feeling of how it is going to be in the Fall when most of my friends will be in Salt Lake City.

Even despite being bored out of my mind, I found some beautiful pictures when I was browsing the blog world today. It made me nostalgic for more sunny weather around here.

I can't wait for it to be warm for a full day in Provo!

The shots were from NOA NOA's new summer collection. So gorgeous!

And go lust after the other things they have in their lookbook
Thanks to unruly things for leading me to their site!

Gonna Get Along Without You Now

Lucky me. I got to go to California with an awesome photographer. She's got some skills.

In case you ever need someone to brighten your day with some beautiful images, or maybe take some pictures for you. Call on the lovely Jessica Peterson.

She is one of my bestest friends.

And she gives the best compliments.

Thank you dear for documenting a weekend I will never forget. Never.

All images shot by Jessica Peterson, go see more on her blog. (especially the dolphin pictures!)

I'm beyond excited that Urban Outfitters is helping out with The Impossible Project and bringing Polaroid film back!!!!!!! Thank you, Taza

Oh, and you best believe I will be in Salt Lake City when they launch the deadstock polaroid film. I'm picking up Papa Baker and Tori at the airport that day, so coincidentally I will already be in the area! This month is turning out to be nothing short of amazing.

I got to see Michelle this last Saturday!

My birthday is Saturday!

Oh, and I'm still loving the short hair : )

I Was Young When I Left Home

We got back from our AMAZING trip to California this week! We went to San Fran, we went to Redding, we saw a bunch : ) I'm in the process of uploading all the pictures we took right now. It's gonna be awhile kids.

During our trip to Redding I was able to find some things I have been wanting to take back to Provo with me. Digging through a bunch of random items we have in storage at our house, I found a Polaroid camera! And it works. I was elated to say the least. It made the night even better when my sister found my mom's old Minolta camera. I'm excited to play around with it and today I just finished my first roll. I'll post them if they actually turn out. But for now, you get a couple of good ol' photo booth pictures of me displaying my new pride and joy.

The Maker Makes

The new blog background and banner is up! Thank you Briye Guy. You are just a peach. Now I have to figure out what to get you for your graduation, since I won't even be here for it......
Well anyways, I decided to change the name of the blog to Sweet Disposition last week. Mostly because "We Sure Are Cute for Two Ugly People : )" was kind of long. I loved the title because it comes from one of my songs, but I love the song that my blog is named after now just as much!

Here is one of the pictures that came out of my first role on the Diana F+ I got for Christmas. It is double exposed with another picture that we took the day before. I love how the umbrella is around Alyssa. However I do not like how dark it turned out and how Allen's Camera cross processed it. Most of the pictures turned out to be too blue or too green.
I guess it is a learning process. Hopefully the next role I just dropped off will turn out better.

Hare Krishna Hare Krishna.....

Oh how I love going to the Hare Krishna temple for the Holi Festival of Colors. Especially with a few of my great friends. Sadly I missed the countdown to throwing all the colors but still managed to get some colors thrown on me as soon as I arrived. Hanging out with Pat and Allison was hilarious, and I'm so glad Alyssa was able to go for the first time (she grew up nearby and had never gone)!

Dancing.

Taking Pictures.

Walking in the temple.
Enjoying the other festivities outside.

All so fun.

I'm glad these events were well documented.
Annnnd I'm so glad to have one of my favorite girls back from her mission in Russia. Can't wait till she officially moves in at the end of the month!!!!

An Evening in Roma

I don't think I have expressed how much I love to travel yet. But I promise you I want to travel the world. On top of my list is Italy. I took a Modern Italian history course last semester and fell in love. This video just makes me want to go right this second!
I plan on going to Italy when I graduate college with my sister, and perhaps backpacking to a few other places as well. But for now..........enjoy this lovely video made of photographs.

I Treat You Wrong

I love Sundays, but today I was just far too bored. So I finally decided to finish the first role I had in my Diana F+ camera and then used my little powershot canon when there was hardly any light left outside. It made the day pass by faster. Everyone was gone so my roomie Jolee came along for the ride and brought her own cam too. I'll be the first to say I don't know anything about photography but that doesn't stop me from wanting to take pictures : ) I think I just miss living with someone always taking pictures, miss you Michelle! but anyways here are some I took in the short little time we were on center street today.
