Me and Ladd finally got to go see Blue Valentine in Salt Lake on Friday. We have been counting the days for its release in Utah, and believe me it was a LONG wait. A wait that was worth it though.

We Used to Wait

I should be doing homework right now........its up on the screen but I am trying so hard to avoid its existence and due date tomorrow.
It'll get done....
I promise I'll start it within the hour. K?
But for now I just did this awesome interactive film thing that I am now going to convince you to do.
It's like watching a music video, but with the place where you grew up as its back drop. Arcade Fire is the music (love).
I loved it. Now go and do it too friendsies. p.s. download google chrome if you haven't, I don't think it works if you don't have it

Fan of Shades
Allison showed me this trailer a few weeks ago. I can't wait to see it!
Such an interesting plot line, and they are actually a real couple. Its loosely based on their relationship. I'm in love with the concept.
And the music sounds good to boot.
you can already get the soundtrack on itunes. I bought the song that plays last in the trailer and haven't stopped listening to it today.

Around the Bend
New movies I'm looking forward to seeing! I seem to be in somewhat of a fashion kick right now.
Oh and I really can't wait for the Coco Chanel movie! It was made in French and I was afraid they weren't going to release it here with subtitles but it looks like they are! I'm excited.

Cuz I came, and I saw, it all
Blah Blah Blah, I'm obsessed. Anyways if you are just as excited about seeing 500 Days of Summer come out as I am then you will want to hear what I have to say.
Fox Searchlight Pictures is hosting free screenings all across the country to gear up for the premier! If you go to the main page for 500 days of Summer and look around you can see a link that says "Find Tickets", click on it and then you are in business! And sorry Briye, Miami is already sold out : (

Existentialism on Prom Night

So I never posted about my trip home, but I promise to do so as soon as I upload some pics!
In the meantime, I will tell you about how awesome my roommates are. A few nights ago we decided to watch Prom Night as a roomie bonding thing (at least that's what it turned out to be), we invited a bunch of people but I guess they just couldn't handle the idea of a scary flick. I mostly just say that because it only ended up being me, Allison, and Caroline that watched the movie. It was hilarious, and surprisingly scary in some parts.
We also got to take some awesome pictures before we decided to watch the movie. Can you tell we get bored sometimes?
Just in case you were wondering..............we also watched She's All That tonight. I had forgotten about all the disgusting things in that movie, hopefully I forget the cafeteria scene soon......eww.

Hot Revolver
So this post is kind of random but.....there seems to be a lot of movies that I have never seen. Like right now, I'm watching Donnie Darko for the first time. And I must say that I am enjoying it. So naturally I would like to know more movies that I should/need to watch. Please offer some advice : )ooooo and p.s. Briye has been making me this awesome background and banner for my blog. (cuz mine is rediculously ugly right now)It looks ten times better than what I have right now and she has proved once again that she is amazing! And she is graduating from BYU in a week and a half. Congrats love!

She's Like the Wind
Okay, I know that the Sundance film festival was actually a few weeks ago. But I promise I only uploaded the few pictures I have from the event just now.So now for the exciting things. I got to see 500 Days of Summer! Ya- the one I was obsessing about just a few posts ago. The one that is going to blow everyone's minds when it comes out in theatres this summer. Thanks Briye for being there with me!...no really, you saved me from absolute awkwardness torture several times. Boys are weird slash crazy sometimes.
Anyways the movie was nothing like I thought it was going to be, it's different and refreshing. The music placement is awesome and quirky, and some of my favorite songs were played. Bonus to being there: Joseph Gordon-Levitt was there! He even did a Q and A about the film afterwards. It truly made the experience special to me. I think the most amusing part was when he proceeded to run across the stage while filming the crowd waving to him. The boy had energy that's for sure.
PS. Did I not already say you should see it?
PPS. Do you think it is weird when guys try and chew on your hair? It kinda weirds me out, speaking from attempted experience. (as in I told him to stop)

A Moment of Love, A Dream, A Laugh

Okay so I was reading my daily blog subscriptions today when I came across Ambrosia Girl's post about a film playing at Sundance this week. My interest was peaked when she mentioned my girl crush of the moment (it is her's as well), Zooey Deschanel, and her movie 500 Days of Summer. I don't mean to copy her post by any means, but let me tell you I'm hooked. This movie looks awesome. I bought the song featured in the trailer, and have found myself humming it several times today.
I was....maybe thinking about going to Park City in hopes of seeing a film this weekend but now I'm definitely putting myself in the standby line for this film. I guess I'll post later on whether or not I will even get to see the film. I do hope I get in.
....And regardless of whether I get in or not, It comes out this summer and maybe to a theatre near me. Now to further the addiction chain I will include the trailer that has got me going to the festival.
